In the last few year many rural properties, farms and stations and in Australia have open their gates and doors allowing guests and their friends to come and visit.
They come on their own others in groups some people bring the entire family. In most cases you stay indoors, however some properties cater for caravans and camping.
Visiting and staying on the working farms and the Outback Stations are one of the most wonderful things to experience, this is the real Australia.

All the rural properties, farm-stays, if you like, are very unique and all offer something different to their visitors. You might find yourself sleeping under the stars on a warm night or sleeping in a bed in a sheering shed, or out in the four wheel drive discovering the wombats and other night life.

Then again you the property you may stay at could have all the luxuries and other off you a place a way from the madding crowds, it could be a safe place to put up your tent and camp, may be park the caravan & relax and enjoying the tranquillity of where you are, take in the fresh air, sit back with a good book and an occasional wander around the property.

What every your looking for, you can select from a range from bed and breakfast in the homesteads, self-contained cottages or you prefer to enjoy the ambience of bunking in a shearers shed.
If you are travelling with your caravan, camper trailer in tow or carrying the tent camping gear. You might like to set up by a woolshed, near the cattle yards or by the property dam, do not forget to take a little steak for the yabbies and be woken in the mornings to the sound of birds singing and the sounds of the property coming to life each day.
A farm or property stay allows you to meet the people that work the land and can share in their experiences, even if it is only an overnight stay. You will learn about the history of the property and understand why these people remain on the land in the same home sometimes for generation.
